Terms of service

1. The service
Merivirta AI Optimizer (“the App”), provided by Merivirta Digital Oy, generates suggestions for product and collection content with AI provided by us (Anthropic Claude). You don’t need an AI account or API key. The App changes your store only when you approve a proposal.
2. AI proposals included in your plan
Each plan includes a number of AI proposals per calendar month (in your store’s time zone). A proposal is one AI suggestion for one product or collection. When the month’s proposals are used up, new generation stops until the next month or until you choose a larger plan. There are no overage charges, and unused proposals don’t carry over. We may pause AI generation temporarily, for example during a service disruption at our AI provider.
3. AI-generated content
AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You must review every proposal before applying it and you are responsible for the content published in your store, including product claims and compliance with consumer protection and advertising rules. The App does not guarantee search rankings, traffic or sales.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to create unlawful, misleading or infringing content, or in a way that violates Shopify’s terms or the usage policies of our AI provider, Anthropic.
5. Fees
Fees are shown in the Shopify App Store listing and billed in advance through Shopify. AI usage within your plan’s monthly proposals is included; there are no separate AI charges.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Applied changes can be reverted in the App as long as the content has not been edited elsewhere afterwards.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or lost profits.

9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
